- Divine Love And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1 John 2:3-5
- Becky Potter So then the next logical question would be for you to want to know why I keep the Commandments of God since we agree they are not and cannot be kept for salvation.
- Divine Love The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure . 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. 9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalms 111:7-10
- Divine Love Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass , one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled . 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:17-19
- Divine Love Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them , I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work lawlessness. Matthew 7:21-23
- Chris Rant Becky if you tell me that you keep all of the commandments all the time,i don't believe you.
- Becky Potter Jennifer I id not know that your pastor was unavailable as he was just on here and made this post we are commenting on. I do not know his schedule. I will respect that, and will wait until your service is over, if someone would please let me know so we can continue this as Id really like to continue this conversation we are having.
- Moni Hz Becky you do not keep the commandments, you may try, but you don't, and when you fall as we all do, then you have to confess to Jesus as we all do. But salvation is of grace, not by the keeping of the law. God knows we cannot because we are of corrupt flesh, we can never keep the law. A believer is MAD holy through faith in Christ.
- Becky Potter Chris I never said that I keep all the commandments all the time. That would make me a liar.
- Kathy Anderson The theif on the cross did not keep one commandment, he just believed in Jesus. The end.
- Divine Love And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. I JOHN 3:24
- Divine Love Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man. ECCLESIASTES 12:13
- Moni Hz Kathy I think the theif on the cross event was to show all that is is grace and nothing more
- Becky Potter Moni if you read what I have stated above maybe you will see that we are agreeing on many of these things.
- Becky Potter Moni and Chris, Im willing to continue the conversation with you as long as I am not keeping you from listening to your pastor, i do not wish to be disrespectful to any of you.
- Becky Potter Moni that is a very good question. Which makes me wonder why there are 30 some thousand different Christian denominations, but that is a discussion for another time. Maybe after we finish the one we are currently in the middle of.
- Merlin Edmonston I have a question for the natives of this page,do you all agree that peter's vision in acts was after Yeshua's death and resurrection?
- Divine Love The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Isaiah 24:5
- Becky Potter I didn't either, but someone said he is and asked if we could have this conversation afterwords. So I just don't want to be disrespectful to any of you if we continue this conversation.
- Moni Hz The denominations should not distract us, He is coming for those who worship in spirit and truth. This is of the enemy, he divides and conquers, a house divided cannot stand. There is one God, One saviour, one Word, ANd the true believers are one in the SPirit
- Chris Rant Ok what happens when you don't keep the commandments, you people come across as very self righteous sorry if that offends but you have shown very little respect for PM and people who call him Pastor. I understand that you want to defend you position but to attack PM on his personal page is extremely disrespectful and rude. You have many other forums to express your postion. I pray you will seek the truth with a humble and contrite heart.
- Divine Love By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:2-3
- Divine Love The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Psalms 19:7
- Divine Love He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:21
- Debbie Knapp Hebrew roots movement and sacred name movement are both cults... end of story... with them there is no power in the Blood of Jesus actually no reason for him to have even been here..
- Moni Hz This has really helped me, I love this part of scripture 14 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. - Divine Love That scripture is the opposite of what you think it is. It is telling believers not to let pagans judge them.
- Divine Love How about believing the whole bible as a whole, and studying to understand the context that Paul is speaking, is that a cult?
- Becky Potter Chris, the reason it was brought here by the others to the public wall was because that is where the Pastor came to accuse the Hebrew Roots Believers. He did not talk to any of them in private first. Now I am not trying to be prideful in anything that I have posted here in this conversation with any of you. I am really wanting nothing more than to have a humble discussion on the Word of God.
- Debbie Knapp CULT ... Paul warned about this exact thing... you cant work your way to heaven...and if you want to try you are saying Jesus died for nothing
- Becky Potter Debbie, please I ask that you read what I have said. I never said that we don't need the blood of Jesus for salvation. Im agreeing with you.
- Becky Potter I am not trying to work my way into heaven and neither is anyone else who has posted here.
- Debbie Knapp guess so....lol... I hear hebrew roots and I just get focused on none being lead astray...

- Moni Hz I do believe the whole Bible Divine, And the Spirit of God has made this child to understand, and since I am not smart, and since I am His child, and since I trust Him with my whole being, I know He has not lead me in a wrong direction. I am at peace, I have total and complete inner peace that I cannot even begin to explain,
- Sunia Akaveka Matthew 7:20
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Who is funding the Hebrew Roots Movement? - Becky Potter Debbie I am speaking of the same Jesus you are. Please don't assume. I am not assuming anything about any of you. I have in no way been deceptive in anything that I have said, it is all out here for everyone to read. If I agree with you that salvation is only through the blood of Jesus, and that is deceptive, then you must also be.
- Tracy Payne Buford Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? - Yisrael Dotme "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20)
What is good? (Romans 7:12)
What is light? (Psalm 119:105)
What is sweet? (Psalm 119:103) - Moni Hz See when people assume it is because they are working from a flesh standpoint. The Spirit knows all things and the hidden things. If one is lead by the Spirit truly? They will never assume, and never speak out of turn, of course we all do because we are flesh, but that is another reason to humble oneself and be utterly dependant on the Spirit, and not any man that seems to know more then you may feel you do. Or I may feel I do. I do not worship Pastor Mike, But when I found him, the SPirit revealed to me this is good, He is not perfect no one is, But he is a true and honest child of God and this is known, within my being. The Spirit would not lead me wrong.
- Joe Austin Chambless Acts 15:5-11
5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. - Divine Love Nice Merlin Edmonston! (Heresy! That is what today's religious leaders say about those who decide to obey God and keep His Sabbath and holydays....they call the words of God ...heresy! They tell you that you do not have to obey God ....that the Bible doesn't say that obedience is necessary, and we should listen to them because they have the holy spirit. The apostle Peter makes it clear who is given God's holy spirit in Acts 5:29 "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him." )
- Becky Potter Moni, I have asked questions and allowed people to answer because I did not want to assume anything since I do not know any of you here. That is why I am asking that you all will please continue to have the civil conversation with me that we were having. We were able to make progress in understanding each other, and even to see that we all agree on what is needed for salvation. Through having a conversation where we take turns to talk, and listen we are better able to understand eachother. Civil conversation without name calling and assumptions is what Im asking to have continue here. Please.
- Lisa N Rodney Estepp Those throwing ACTS out there .. We are told in ACTS 15:19-22 after we come to believe to do these 4 things THEN go hear what Moses taught ... (DO not only look at one type of bible version either, search out and read others, go to biblegateway, and Look in a strong's) ... WHY? To do them .... You do them out of LOVE, "LAW" is not even the right word .. It's God's teachings for us ... A loving Father, to keep us safe. Everyone keeps ALL the government laws, and job laws and church by-laws but want to fight not to keep God's I do not get it. Do any of you keep God's Holy Days or the world's? When you start keeping God's Holy days the bible comes alive for you AND when you learn the setting's of the story's and the hebraic meanings of things we know nothing of ... WOW the Bible comes alive. Please do not turn your back on this .. go study and I mean really study .. do not listen to me or any man study it out. When you stand before God it will be on your shoulder no one else's. If you are his then you will make it, but is that all you want to do 'is make it' Or do you want to be blessed as you have blessed others obeying the Father. Be gentile in your words and LOVE each other with a GOOD Bible study ... BLESSINGS to all
- Jennifer Chambless WE don't need other bibles we have the true word of God in the King James Bible!!!!! You all need to leave our pastors page please.
- Marcos Acosta KJV Vato's Loco's 4ever ese! That and the Son's of Anarchy, if it's good enough for the USA government it's good enough for me!
- Yisrael Dotme Shalom Joe. It is important to understand the context of Acts 15, provided in verse 1:
Acts 15:1 "And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, YOU CANNOT BE SAVED."
We are saved by grace through faith, it is impossible otherwise. However, what we do once we receive that gift is important. It is then that we're expected to learn the Father's ways (His Torah) and begin to walk in it as we learn it... we grow in our relationship with Him and display our love for Him by our obedience to His instructions.
The ruling decided upon in Acts 15 is summed up in verses 20 and 21:
"...but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. For MOSES has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues EVERY SABBATH."
These were four Torah commandments related to pagan worship, and the decision reached was to instruct those gentiles who were turning to YHWH to "clean up" and come out of their pagan worship practices. After this took place, they were free to fellowship with the body of Messiah in the synagogues every Sabbath where Moses (Torah) was taught.
I pray that the Spirit opens your eyes to this understanding. It's an absolute blessing to walk in the whole Word of our Creator, and it is the very definition of loving Him (1 John 5:3). Shalom... - Tracy Payne Buford Hebrew Roots people: I have been where you are now! This is nothing new. I studied the Tabernacle day after day after day. I never left the OT. I studied the law. During this time (and it was several years), my eyes were NOT on Jesus. I was too buy being bogged down by rituals. Please, put it all down and take up your cross daily and follow Him.
- Joe Austin Chambless Dude, I don't think you understand what you are reading. What the certain men were saying in Acts 15:1 about "if you are not circumcised, then you can't be saved" was explained in verses 10 and 11 as being a yoke.
- Jennifer Chambless Please if you say you are following the law, how is Jerusalem looking? Because you HAVE to go to Jerusalem for the feasts.
- Moni Hz I've been commenting between divine and Becky, sorry I go all over the map. All I can say is I know nothing, My knowledge is a joke. But God promised His Spirit would lead and guide me in all knowledge and truth, I just simply believe it. The only ones who make me have doubts would be humans. They are the ones who come along and say to me.. Yeah did God say? Does He mean this or that? I am NOT CONFUSED when I read the Word, and when I follow the Word. I am at peace. But when mankind comes along with all his earthly knowledge that's when I would ever question anything, and I have come to know that Satan is the author of confusion, and where ther is confusion he is in the midst of it. I may be to dumb to know allot of things, but I am smart enough to know when the Holy Spirit is with me
- Marcos Acosta All I know is that Jesus died on the Cross for my sin's and I believe his is the GOD incarnate in human form and we are all sinners, and you have to admit that everyday, no matter who you are.
- Marcos Acosta Okay, when was the only time, JESUS got really mad and used physical force on someone or something, can anyone here answer that, and we will get to the root of most of today's problems?
- Tracy Payne Buford I was listening to a Staley podcast the other day. It was the one where he undoubtedly was mad because PM didn't come to him personally. He was preaching this to the entire group so I'm assuming this is where they're coming from now. Apparently, he's still ticked at PM for "outting" him.
- Yisrael Dotme Hi Joe, the context of Acts 15 is circumcision for salvation. Please note that "circumcision" was often used as shorthand for the process of converting to Judaism.
It was not necessary for gentiles to convert to Judaism in order to be saved, the Messiah paid the price with His blood and it is only through the acceptance of Him that salvation is made possible. However, after we enter into that relationship with our Messiah, we are expected to learn His ways and to walk just as He walked (1 John 2:6). Messiah's doctrine was Torah and He walked it out perfectly, He is our example not our excuse.
I hope that this helps to clarify this often misunderstood passage. Shalom... - Tracy Payne Buford I was going to attempt to transcribe it but he used so many Hebrew words, it was just ridiculous. These people can all sit around and claim to speak Hebrew, but 99.9999% don't so they're just going off the definitions Staley is giving them.
- Tracy Payne Buford I watched Michael Rood and I was absolutely appaulled ! He was so off the mark that it was blasphemous.
- Debbie Knapp met them all and talked to them all... its like a private club... shhhhhh only the few enlightened ones can attend or understand. I parted ways with a man I loved because he would not leave this cult...
- Lisa N Rodney Estepp Tracy, I hate that you left Jesus out of this beautiful walk. You each do what you feel lead to do, but you are missing out. The 'new' is mostly quotes of the 'old' but revealed beautifully. Most do not understand the word 'gentile' either. I Love God and ALL his word. I am excited for God's Holy Feast, they are a teaching for us. You learn so much more of God as you do them. You do know if you look at the strongs as they were translating they could have picked several words to put in the spot ... so why not study to see if KJV put the right one? I think the NKJV does alot better job. Do you know we will do sacrifices again? Why do you think we will? So many wonder this. I think it will be for a teaching, just like his Feast are. I will leave now. I will conitnue to do as the Father ask as you will as you see it. Blessings to each of you. As we enter the time of reflection in God's Holy Days that are upon us.
- Debbie Knapp its branched off of all the armstrongism people that were floating around after he and his son were exposed... for being a cult...
- Tracy Payne Buford Lisa.......that is for ISRAEL! We are not Isreal! If you study gardening, you'll see that a grafted plant produces different fruit than the root. We are strengthened by the root but it's an entirely different product at the end. We will not be the ones sacrificing. Also, following the law today is impossible. You have to pick and choose which ones you can and can't do so if you aren't following them all to the letter, what is the point? You aren't saved by works.......ANY works. Including following the law.
